Goya: The Portraits

Tonight Natalie and I (Jonathan) have been invited to the Press & Marketing private view of Goya: The Portraits at The National Gallery, London. Over the past few months we have been working with the Marketing Department at the Gallery to attract Spanish, Latin American and French tourists to this milestone exhibition. Overseas tourists will have the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the remarkable skill of one of Spain’s most celebrated artists.

Striking and often unforgiving, Goya’s portraits demonstrate his daringly unconventional approach and remarkable skill at capturing the psychology of his sitters. This landmark exhibition is the first ever focusing solely on Goya’s portraits. It re-appraises his genius as a portraitist and provides a penetrating insight into both public and private aspects of his life.

70 of Goya’s most outstanding portraits from around the world will be on display, including some never before seen in public. Exhibition sponsored by Credit Suisse
